Product & Features
Sublyric is built for fansub groups, localization teams, independent translators, and creators producing cover-song MVs and lyric animations — in short, anyone who works regularly with video subtitles.
If you only subtitle the occasional video, the Free Edition has you covered. If you do this work regularly and in volume, the Professional Edition's AI transcription and translation take a lot of repetitive work off your plate, so you can spend your time on the creative part.

Yes. In our tests, it reliably handles 4K videos over 30 minutes long and 1080p videos up to 5 hours.
Not yet — real-time co-editing of one project isn't supported. The Team Edition gives each member their own license so everyone can work independently on their own machine.
Transcription & Translation
AI transcription has one-click buttons for Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Click Auto-detect and the Whisper model can recognize many more languages. For translation, the free engines offer 19 common target languages, while AI translation (DeepSeek) offers 100+. We only show a few language buttons to keep the list short and easy to scan — the rest are under Auto-detect and More Languages.
No. AI transcription and script alignment run entirely offline on your computer. They don't use any online quota, and your footage stays private.
Yes. AI translation currently sends text to a cloud-based large language model. We know that raises privacy questions and token costs, so we're working on an AI translation option that runs offline on your computer — keeping your content confidential and saving you token fees. It's still in development and there's no release date yet; we'll share updates as it progresses.
The free translation engine costs nothing, so use it as much as you like. AI translation gives better quality, but because it calls a large language model and uses tokens, it has a cost. See the DeepSeek website for current pricing.
Karaoke
No. LRC files already carry precise timestamps, so Sublyric reads them directly — no re-alignment or AI processing.
Sublyric generates timing points for each character or syllable based on the line's length and duration. On fast songs that's usually on the beat right away. For slow songs or unclear vocals, fine-tune specific sections with syllable splitting. Either way, you're not starting from scratch, so it's much faster than timing by hand.
Yes. Sublyric includes 50+ karaoke lyric styles and Emoji animation presets. You apply styles and adjust animations by clicking and dragging in a visual interface — no writing or editing ASS scripts. The underlying effect files are generated for you, so you never need to learn script syntax.
Absolutely. Beyond the 50+ presets, you can adjust font, size, color, gradient, outline, shadow, and glow, and add custom flying Emoji and stickers to create a look that's entirely your own.
Not at all. You get two independent lyric tracks. Create or import each language separately, or duplicate one track and let the built-in AI translation fill in the second language. Everything happens in the same window — no switching between projects.
Yes. The lyrics and effects you see in the preview are burned into the video on export, producing a standard MP4 at the resolution and bitrate you set. It plays in any media player, on short-video platforms, or in a live-stream setup — no plugins or extra processing.

If you haven't activated the Professional Edition, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. For activated licenses, contact us via the Contact Us page and we'll work with you on a fair solution.
Activation codes are currently sent manually after we verify payment, usually within 1–2 business days. Please check your inbox, including your spam or junk folder.
